Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day for you and me is a gift, so let’s cherish it.
In the times we are living in, encouragement is needed more than ever before. You do not need to be a motivational speaker in order to encourage someone. Sometimes, a simple sentence can make a huge difference:
- “You are capable.”
- “Your efforts matter.”
- “You are not alone.”
- “You are enough.”
To you, these words may seem small, but to someone who desperately needs to hear them, they can become life-changing.
As this week comes to an end, ask yourself:
How many hearts have I refreshed through encouragement this week?
Let this become a question you ask yourself regularly, because encouragement truly refreshes the heart.
Philemon 1:7 (AMP)
For I have had great joy and comfort and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints (God’s people) have been refreshed through you, my brother.
Paul speaks of the joy and encouragement he received because Philemon refreshed the hearts of others through love. This reminds us that encouragement is not just about words; it is also revealed through how we love and treat one another.
Love Builds Others
Loving one another helps us build and strengthen one another. It is difficult to edify someone without love, and a lack of love can hinder growth.
Encouragement is also mutual. As you become a source of encouragement to others, there are also people God places in your life to encourage and strengthen you. Encouragement flows both ways.
Your Faith Is Visible
What we do, how we behave, and how we speak all impact the people around us, whether we realize it or not.
In Philemon 1:6, Paul speaks about the communication of faith becoming effective. This connects with what James teaches:
“Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.”
People can often see the kind of faith we carry through our actions, words, and attitudes. Scripture also reminds us in Romans 12:3 that a measure of faith has been given to everyone.
May we use our words, actions, and love to refresh the hearts of those around us.
Gratitude Friday
Today is Gratitude Friday, and one thing I am thankful for is the people who have become a source of encouragement in my life.
Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!

Thank you for sharing. We ought to encourage one another daily
