Whom shall I fear? Of whom shall I be afraid?

Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day to you and me is a gift, so let’s cherish it.

Imagine a world without light; no one would want to live in such a place, and even if you wanted to, existence would be challenging, even to the point of being impossible. Well, someone might argue and say, “What about nocturnals?” because people enjoy debating. Indeed, we have nocturnals in our present life; I define them as individuals who believe they can live without God (light).

Psalm 27:1 (ESV): “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Have you ever wondered why, despite all these life adversities and challenges, you are still standing? Why do you keep pushing when you can see with your eyes that these adversities will bury you? It is because you know that you have guidance, truth, and divine presence with you. The reason you still find clarity and direction amidst chaos is that He (God) is your light.

Takeaway: What has God rescued you from? He cannot be our salvation if He has never rescued us from something or someone. For some of us, that relationship could have been your end, the thing you were doing could have been your downfall, or the reason you are still standing is that His right hand is upholding you.

Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!
