Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day is a gift to you and me, so let’s cherish it.
First and foremost, let me extend a warm welcome to the month of July. Whether we agree or not, we are all pursuing something. As human beings, we must nourish ourselves, whether spiritually or physically. Additionally, one thing we must recognize is that our souls yearn, and sometimes we nourish them unknowingly because we hesitate to acknowledge our souls’ thirst. Today, I bring a wake-up call to remind you that you have the choice to decide what to feed your soul.
Hosea 12:1 (NLT): “The people of Israel feed on the wind; they chase after the east wind all day long. They pile up lies and violence; they are making an alliance with Assyria while sending olive oil to buy support from Egypt.”
Wind cannot sustain us. There are things that, as good as they are, cannot bring long-lasting satisfaction, but we often buy into their short-term gratification. I told you the choice is yours; you can chase the east wind as much as you want or can, but be cautious of what you are seeking. What you will find in the east wind is destruction.
What are we piling up? For lies breed violence, and that’s one of the truths we run away from. Violence doesn’t have to be physical, and only then will we realize that our lies cause violence.
Takeaway: If all that we are doing is in vain, why are we still doing it?
Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name. Ameni!
May I Yearn that, Which Benefits My Soul🙏
