It’s who you are with, not who you are, that will help you deal with fear

Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day to you and me is a gift, so let’s cherish it.

Yes, you are a child of God, but when fear threatens you, you find it hard to convince yourself. That is why you find comfort and strength when you know that God is with you. What are we having today?

Exodus 3:11-12 (NIV): But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

Have you ever asked yourself or wondered who you are to conquer this situation or not be conquered by what you are experiencing, because it’s not like you are the only one facing that challenge? There may be someone going through the same ordeal. For Moses, it was worse, as there was no leader who had previously endured that, so it was fair for him to question because he lacked the resources or power to do what God was asking of him. But God told him, It doesn’t matter who you are, as long as I am with you.

And David understood this; that is why he said, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me…” (Psalm 23:4). So if they ask you how you are going to emerge from that storm, let them know that even you don’t know, but God is with you.

Takeaway: Sit down today and ask yourself, do you really know who is with you?  Remind yourself from the Scriptures of who God is.

Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!
