Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day is a gift to you and me, so let’s cherish it.
The month of June is coming to an end, and God has been faithful. I heard someone say next week is July. What? Half of the year is gone? This is a time when some of us will evaluate and reflect on the past quarter or even six months. It is very good to do that; I recommend it. But in doing so, we don’t want to forget the goodness of God, regardless of how the second quarter went.
Psalm 107:9 (ESV): For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.
With God, our souls cannot long for too long because He satisfies as soon as there’s longing. One thing human beings struggle with is trying to satisfy their longing souls with what humans provide, and no human can do that. The satisfaction of our souls has been left to God, and thanks be to God for those thirsty souls who have found the fountain. The psalmist says, “For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.” (Psalm 36:9) So we want to say, thank you, God, for allowing us to drink from you for the past months, and may we continue to drink from you.
What a generous God You are. Not only do You give water to a thirsty soul, but You also feed a hungry one. God will never tire of giving to good people, and He doesn’t just give. Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) Please note that we don’t just have life, but we have it in abundance; never miss that. Now it is left to you to ask, what does life in abundance look like? Thank you, God, for feeding the hungry soul, and may you continue to feed them.
Takeaway: What are you grateful for this month?
Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!
Above All : I’m grateful for The Gift Of Life
