Should we expect love from the world?

Good day, good people! This is the day that the Lord has made; never forget that. Regardless of what you face in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this day to you and me is a gift, so let’s cherish it.

I know it’s hard to believe that after all the love you have given, all you receive is hate.  Questions like, “Why do I have to keep on loving if they are not replicating it?” and “Do they not appreciate my love?” arises.

John 15:18 (ESV): ““If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.”

Well, you are not the only one. Jesus gave his love unsparingly, and yet the world hated him, so just be prepared and continue pouring out that love. This should help us when we go out to share the gospel with people. We must keep in mind that the individuals we are approaching want nothing to do with us. As soon as they discover that you are a believer, their mental weapons are ready; they are about to defend and attack. The only weapon we bring is love, so let’s not end up arguing and trying to win debates. Remember, we are called to win hearts, not arguments.

Takeaway: We should be grateful when we experience the challenges that Jesus faced. Why? Because He triumphed over all those obstacles.

Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!
