Welcome to Daily Bread, where we will be eating the Bible verse by verse. Whether you get this bread in the morning, afternoon, or evening, it doesn’t matter; just make sure the day doesn’t go by without you getting this bread.
Today I would like us to eat from Matthew 15:26 (NKJV): “But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to little dogs.”
The reason why I choose this verse for introducing our blog is that one thing that we take for granted is that the bread is now for everyone (John 6:35 (NKJV), “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. HE WHO (whoever) COMES to me shall never hunger…) During the days of the Gentile woman, it was not permitted to throw it, not even give it, but throw it to the little dogs. So I want us to take some time today, 5 to 10 minutes, and just thank God for availing the bread to whoever is hungry. Because even when you were hungry during those days, meaning you needed the bread that Jesus was giving, you couldn’t get it. Hunger was not a guarantee that you would get the bread, but today the bread is available, and we choose to live in hunger.
I would like to thank God for this gentile woman whose name we don’t even know, but she was one of those people who showed us that it doesn’t matter if you are a little dog; you don’t need status to get the bread; you just need faith. So I called her the breadwinner, and permit me to add an informal definition to this word, “breadwinner,” because of this woman.
Breadwinner: a person who got the bread from Jesus through her faith, regardless of not deserving to get the bread.
Prayer: Abba, Father, we thank you in Jesus’ name, Ameni!
Hallelujah. Bread is now available for everyone ;that’s pure Gospel 🙏
Yesssss. Gospel
